1. License and Copyright

Jurnal Guru Dikmen Diksus (JGDD), published by Direktorat Guru dan Tenaga Kependidikan Pendidikan Menengah dan Pendidikan Khusus, publishes articles under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). Copyright remains with the author(s), while the publisher holds the publication rights granted under the applicable publication agreement.

Users may share and adapt licensed material for non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given, a link to the license is supplied, and changes are indicated. Adaptations must be distributed under the same license.

2. Author and Publisher Rights

Copyright ownership remains with the author(s). By publishing in JGDD, authors grant the publisher the publication rights specified in the applicable publication agreement. This grant does not, by itself, transfer copyright ownership to the publisher.

Subject to the applicable license, publication agreement, law, and third-party rights, authors may:

  • Share their articles for personal study, research, teaching, and non-commercial academic purposes with appropriate attribution.
  • Include their work in theses, dissertations, lecture materials, and scholarly compilations with proper acknowledgment.
  • Deposit eligible article versions in personal websites and institutional or subject repositories.
  • Create non-commercial adaptations in accordance with the applicable license.

Authors are responsible for obtaining necessary institutional or employer approvals where applicable. All permitted reuse should identify the original publication in JGDD.

3. Permissions and Third-Party Materials

Reuse permitted under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 does not require additional permission when all license conditions are met. Commercial uses or other uses outside the license terms should be directed to the relevant rights holder. Third-party figures, tables, photographs, and other materials may be excluded from the license and may require separate permission. Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions required for materials they submit.

4. Author Online Use and Self-Archiving

Authors may share and deposit eligible article versions on personal websites, institutional repositories, employer websites, or subject repositories, subject to the applicable license, publication agreement, and third-party rights.

A pre-print is the version submitted before peer review; a post-print is the accepted version incorporating peer-review revisions; and the publisher's version is the final published article. The eligibility of each version for deposit remains subject to the applicable rights and conditions.

Authors are encouraged to include the complete bibliographic citation and a link or DOI to the published article, where available. Article materials may also be used for non-commercial teaching, training, and scholarly presentations in accordance with the applicable license.

5. Articles in Press

JGDD may make accepted manuscripts, article metadata, abstracts, or other permitted materials available before final issue publication, depending on the journal's editorial workflow. Authors with concerns about prior public disclosure, including potentially patentable inventions, should contact the editorial office before publication arrangements are finalized.

6. Digital Archiving and Preservation

JGDD recognizes the importance of preserving scholarly publications for long-term accessibility and continuity of the scholarly record. Published content may be archived and deposited for scholarly purposes subject to the applicable license, copyright conditions, and third-party rights.

LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) are digital preservation initiatives that may support participating journals. JGDD's participation in either service must be verified before it is represented as active.

7. Digital Discovery and Metadata

JGDD supports the discoverability of its publications through structured metadata, persistent identifiers, and interoperable scholarly systems. References to discovery, indexing, or harvesting services must reflect verified records; mentioning a service does not imply that JGDD is currently indexed or harvested by that service.

8. Policy Consistency and Additional Rights

The journal's copyright notice, article license information, author guidelines, and publication agreement should be consistent with this policy. Where employment terms, institutional requirements, applicable law, or third-party rights affect ownership or authorization, the relevant terms must be considered before publication or reuse. Uses beyond the applicable license require permission from the relevant rights holder where required.

OUR COMMITMENT

Jurnal Guru Dikmen Diksus (JGDD) is committed to responsible copyright practices, transparent licensing, appropriate author rights, and the responsible dissemination and preservation of educational research.
