Abstract

A scaffolding approach enhanced by Web 2.0 has been implemented in physics learning at the moment of force concept. The scaffolding approach in this research consist of  three steps namely sense making, process management, articulation and reflection. Every step was implemented in teaching materials using Web 2.0 including simulation using Scratch application and Articulate Storyline integrated in the google site. To determine the learning outcome of students, a quasi-experimental one group pretest posttest method was used with t-test significance analysis of pretest-posttest score anf the learning effectivity was analyzed by normalized gain score. Meanwhile, to find out the activities  of students learning, this study used observation and portfolio assessment methods. The results showed that the activities of students learning were in the very good category and all of students were able to complete learning even though in different duration of learning process. The learning outcome of students at moment of force concept understanding using scaffolding approach enhanced by Web 2.0 was significantly increased with tvalue is higher than ttable and the learning effectivity in high criteria with normalized gain score is 0,70. This shows that the scaffolding approach enhanced by Web 2.0 is an considerably alternative teaching strategy in physics learning at the moment of force concept.
