Abstract

Raudhatul Jannah Payakumbuh Islamic High School is not an inclusive school, but 10% of them have special needs students. Students with special needs include slow learners, speech impaired, low vision and autism. The implementation of classroom learning still uses the same method for all students so that learning is not optimal for Special Need Students, of course it affects the process and learning outcomes of the special needs students including chemistry learning. One of the chemistry learning media in the inclusive class is Chembeable (Chemistry Cube Puzzle). The media chemistry periodic system cube puzzle conveys material and learning objectives for the periodic system and elemental chemistry for special needs students. This study aims to determine the effect of Chembeable media on learning outcomes and special needs students’ interest in learning. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest design. Learning outcomes data were analyzed using N-Gain and learning interest data were analyzed by the percentage of implementation. The results of the study obtained an N-Gain value of 0.78 in the high category and the percentage of special needs students learning interest was 90%. That is, Chembeable media improves learning outcomes and interest in learning chemistry for special needs students.
